Directors

Dr. Bencha Yoddumnern-Attig, the Thailand SPF Project Leader, holds a MA and PhD in Anthropology from University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, USA. She has been the Project Director, Project Co-Director and Principal Investigator for a number of research projects on reproductive health supported by WHO, the Wellcome Trust of UK, UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNDP and FAO. Dr. Yoddumnern-Attig, has served as a WHO Panel Member for Social Science and Operations Research of a Member of the WHO Regional Advisory Panel for Asia and the Pacific, and on the International Scientific Advisory Committee of the Sixth International Congress on AIDS in Asia and Pacific. She is currently the Director and Associate Professor of the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR) Mahidol University.

Dr. Judith Healy is the Australian Director of the Social Protection Facility. She holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina and a PhD in Health Sciences from La Trobe University. She is a Senior Fellow with the Research School of Social Sciences and a Visiting Fellow at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health at the ANU. She has published widely on health and social policies and current research interests include the comparative analysis of health systems and policies for ageing populations. She was a Senior Research Fellow at the European Observatory on Health Care Systems and at Policy Studies Institute in London, and lectured in social policy at the Flinders University of South Australia. She also works as a consultant for the WHO Geneva and Europe offices.
